Online Dog Training Lessons

Reality Training: A Three-Week Foundation Course

If you’ve been overwhelmed by conflicting advice, hours of YouTube videos, or a dog that just won’t settle down, you’re not alone. This course isn’t about tricks or treats—it’s about reshaping how your dog fits into your life.

In just three weeks, you’ll learn how to manage your dog’s behavior the same way a parent manages a toddler. Clear rules. Predictable outcomes. No guesswork.

This program strips dog training down to the essentials. You’ll stop chasing results and start creating a calm, cooperative dog by showing them—moment to moment—how your world works.

Week One: Starting From Scratch

This is the reset button. You’re going to stop letting your dog call the shots, and start managing every moment. Forget everything you’ve heard about training as an “activity.” This is about full-time management. Crate or leash—24/7. We’re not letting the dog build random habits anymore.

Your job is to show your dog that your world has rules. If you don’t want the dog on the couch, he doesn’t get on the couch. If barking at the window isn’t allowed, it gets addressed—every time. You’ll create calm by eliminating opportunities for chaos.

Week Two: Real Obedience in Real Life

By now, the dog is starting to see the shift—you’re in charge. You’ve begun the memory chain, and the dog’s behavior is starting to reflect that.

Now we begin teaching actual commands, but not in a ritualized way. Leash manners. Come. Stop. Stay on your bed. These aren’t drills—they’re rules for how your house works. We’re not “training” in the conventional sense; we’re building behavior into your daily life.

Week Three: Finishing the Frame

Week three is where it all clicks. The leash comes off. The rules stay in place. Your dog isn’t confused, stimulated, or guessing anymore. You’ve created a version of the world that makes sense to your dog—and that dog is now calmly living in it.

This final phase includes fine-tuning, resolving any leftover issues, and making sure you’re confident in how to keep this going without me.

Forget the circus tricks and clicker drills. This course is about giving you the clarity and control you’ve been missing. It’s not about making your dog “better”—it’s about showing them how the world really works. Once they see it, they adapt. It’s that simple.

Let’s get started.

This course consists of three zoom lessons, one a week for three weeks.

The cost for this class is $429. That includes one of our preferred Dogtra brand e-collars shipped to you.

Our online training program is offered in a group setting. Groups are small and meet once a week for three consecutive weeks. The day and time remain constant throughout your program, with the exception of holidays. For instance, if your class starts on Friday at 2 PM, all of your sessions will be held on Fridays at 2 PM.

We offer classes at the following times:

  • Tuesday at 7:00 PM
  • Thursday at 5:00 PM
  • Friday at 2:00 PM
  • Saturday at 11:00 AM

Give us a call to see when the next Lesson 1 is coming up for you to join.

Live classes are not offered on holidays. However, should your second or third scheduled lesson fall on a holiday, we’ve got you covered. You may attend a pre-recorded class, or you may switch to another group that meets on a different day. Both options work equally well—it’s just a matter of your preference.

If you have to miss a class, don't worry. We record all of our classes. You’ll have access to a recording from your own group or another group covering the same material. This ensures you can stay on track even if something comes up.

Switching groups is always allowed. If you can’t attend your scheduled Lesson One, you’re welcome to begin with any other group’s first lesson instead. Likewise, if you miss Lesson Two or Three, you can attend that lesson with a different group in a coming week.

Opportunities to ask questions or speak during class may vary depending on the number of participants, how smoothly things are going, and how much time we’ve already spent. When possible, time will be set aside for discussion, but participation isn’t guaranteed every session.

Lesson One lasts up to two hours. The first hour focuses on helping you understand how behavior works and what we’re really doing in this course. The second hour covers what to do during your first week, including structure, collar fit, and leash use. Lessons Two and Three usually run between one hour and one hour and fifteen minutes. Each session builds on the last, so please plan to be on time and stay through the end.

This is a simple, structured, no-nonsense course that works. Let’s get started.
